Announcement: How about a cruise the Route 66 Meeting?
Posted: rv4fun @ Tue Nov 03, 2009 12:03 am
Announcement:

The Route 66 Association of Missouri is holding its quarterly luncheon meeting on Saturday, Nov 14th at the Elks Lodge in St. Clair, MO. Lunch will be served at noon followed by the General Meeting.

After a short (but always interesting) business meeting concerning activities related to Route 66, there will be a program presented by Kaisa Barthull (Acting Program Manager) and John Murphey (Cultural Resources Specialist) with the Route 66 Corridor Preservation Program located in Santa Fe, NM.

The meeting will be followed by the official re-lighting of the newly restored neon sign at the Sunset Motel 10 miles east of St Clair (just west of the old Diamonds (Tri-County) restaurant in Villa Ridge between 4:45 and 5:00pm.

Cost for lunch is $12 each - Reservations are required - follow the link below to download the meeting notice with instructions and the reservation form. Reservations must be postmarked by this coming Saturday (Nov. 7th) so hurry! If you don't want lunch you can still come to the meeting but they need to know how many will be attending so there'll be enough seating for everyone.

Bette and I will be there - if a few of the HHR group would like to caravan, we could meet at the Panera's/St. Louis Bread Company parking lot at I-44 (exit 264) and Highway 109 in Eureka and depart from there about 11am - St. Clair is about 30 miles from Eureka. That should give us a few minutes to look through the handouts and other Route 66 information on display before lunch is ready.
